BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO OUTSOURCE YOUR NEXT ESSAY WRITING TASK, read this.
Essay writing is a skill, not a gift as many would have you believe. As long as you know your grammar well and you don’t default on punctuation, you can do it.
However, it does require a bit of practice and training so in this post I will be sharing with you how to write an essay that makes you deserving of a good grade.
Please don’t take this lightly, it is this same process that we at Xherizo Research Institute have been using to satisfy our clients and so without much talk and gainsaying, let’s proceed.
First of all, what is an essay? In simple yet clear terms, an essay is an academic paper that students write in school or college.
Sometimes, the goal is to express an idea or state an argument, but largely, it is writing to provide a personal analysis of a topic, sometimes within a defined word limit.
This means that essay writing presents a 2-fold case; present your topic in an informative, logical, and concise manner & stick to the permitted word count. With these restrictions, how do you write a good essay?
STEPS TO WRITING A NEXT-TO-PERFECT ESSAY.
- Essence: Write everything that comes to your mind about the topic. Then, re-read it and point out three main ideas to cover in your essay. Describe them one by one when writing a paper’s body.
- Three points. Make a list of sub-topics related to your essay’s theme. Then, expand each sub-topic with three more points. Finally, choose three sub-topics with the most relevant points to support your thesis. Take them to describe in an essay’s body.
- Apply the 3+1 rule. This involves four steps. State a thesis, introduce it, expand on it, and finish your essay. The last step is the “+1” in the technique’s name. The trick is to write a conclusion first and then continue with other essay parts.
- Divide. Write each part of your essay separately. Re-read each paragraph once you have it to revise if something looks wrong. When ready, move to another essay part.
- Simple. Introduce a topic with 12 distinct points, grouping them into 3 blocks with 4 sentences each.
Following this structure not only simplifies your writing process, it also helps you remove the dread that comes from being burdened by a lot of information or experiencing information overload.
I hope this helps you in your next essay writing attempt.
Kudos.
